Accident recovery: illustrative towing scene
Help coordinating your vehicle’s move after a collision.

Describe the scene clearly

Tell us where the vehicle is and whether access is restricted. Mention if it is in a roadway, parking lot or another location, and whether someone at the scene is coordinating vehicle removal. Share any instructions you have received rather than assuming a towing request is already authorized. A precise location and callback number are the most useful starting points.

You do not need to inspect damage closely or attempt a diagnosis to make the call.

Explain the visible condition

Describe what you already know: damaged wheels, a vehicle that cannot roll, missing keys or a position that makes access difficult. Say if you are uncertain. Recovery arrangements depend on the particular situation, so a general statement that the vehicle “needs a tow” may leave important details out. If a third party has already contacted another towing service, explain that too.

Choose the receiving location deliberately

Ask your insurer or repair shop about any instructions that apply to your vehicle. Have the destination address and receiving contact available before confirming a move. O’Hara and Sons Automotive is in the same yard if you want to discuss collision repair separately. Vehicle storage is also a listed towing service; ask about the arrangements rather than assuming storage or repair is included.

A little clarity goes a long way

GOOD QUESTIONS.STRAIGHT ANSWERS.

Can you handle insurance-related requests?

We work with major roadside-assistance and insurance programs. Confirm any coverage or authorization directly with your provider and explain the request when you call.

Do I have to use the automotive shop?

Discuss your chosen destination when arranging the tow. Repair work and towing are separate conversations; a tow does not automatically authorize repairs.

What if I do not know where the car should go?

Say that at the start of the call. Ask about the available arrangements before agreeing to a destination or storage.
