Light duty towing: illustrative towing scene
A straightforward next move for your car or everyday vehicle.

The details behind an everyday tow

Start with the make and model rather than deciding for yourself which towing category applies. Tell us whether the vehicle has broken down, been damaged or simply needs to move between locations. If it is parked, describe the position: parallel to the curb, nose-in to a driveway or inside a lot. These details help make the pickup discussion specific to your situation.

If you have a warning message or a mechanic’s instructions, share them without feeling you need to diagnose the fault.

Decide between assistance and transport

Not every call starts with certainty that a tow is needed. If the issue might involve a battery, flat tire, lockout or fuel, explain it when you call. Roadside assistance is also offered. The conversation can establish which service you are requesting; it does not replace a mechanical diagnosis or guarantee that an issue can be resolved at the roadside.

Get the handoff ready

Choose a repair shop or another destination and check how the receiving location wants the vehicle delivered. Have your keys available and tell us if they are missing. If someone else will meet the driver, provide a name and callback number with their permission. Ask about payment and the expected charges while arranging the tow so you know what has been agreed.

A little clarity goes a long way

GOOD QUESTIONS.STRAIGHT ANSWERS.

Is my vehicle considered light duty?

Give us the make, model and any unusual size or modifications. We will discuss the request without asking you to classify the vehicle yourself.

Can you take my car to my chosen shop?

Provide the shop’s address and receiving instructions when you call. Confirm the destination as part of the towing arrangements.

Can I use a roadside-assistance program?

We work with major roadside-assistance and insurance programs. Check the arrangements with your provider and explain any existing service request when you call.
